App Privacy Policy
Archived version. This is the policy as it stood from August 29, 2026. The current policy is at regularish.com/privacy.
This policy is about the Regularish iOS app. For how our website handles information when you visit regularish.com, see the Website Privacy Policy.
Regularish is built on one principle: your health data is yours, and it stays on your device. We don’t have servers that store your symptoms, cycle data, or HealthKit readings. We can’t sell what we don’t have.
Who we are
Regularish is published by Alibee LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), a New York company. Privacy questions: privacy@regularish.com. General questions: info@regularish.com.
What data we collect — and where it lives
Data you enter
Everything you type or tap into Regularish — your symptom logs (including symptoms you name yourself), cycle information, perimenopause stage, hormone-therapy status, OB/GYN visit history, and preferences — is stored only on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. It never leaves your phone unless you choose to export it.
If you turn on the optional HRT tab, the same is true of everything you enter there: the medications you register (the hormone, its form, the name you give it, the dose you type, and the schedule you set), each dose you log, the spot on the body map where you tapped that a patch, gel, spray, or injection went, and any weigh-ins or weight goal line. All of it stays on your device. The HRT tab never proposes a schedule, a site, or a dose — it holds what you tell it.
The private pelvic and urinary check-in holds the most closely kept records in the app, and it is treated that way. What you record there — the symptoms you choose, how intense and how disruptive you say they are, anything you write in a note, and any treatment you list — stays on your device, never enters your Regularish Number or your Today surface, and is left out of every export unless you choose to include it. You can require Face ID or your passcode to open it, and you can erase it on its own without touching the rest of your history.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
What Regularish reads. If you grant permission, Regularish reads the following from Apple Health to personalize your experience:
- Heart rate and resting heart rate
- Heart rate variability (HRV)
- Sleep analysis (duration, REM, and deep sleep stages; disruptions)
- Sleeping wrist temperature
- Step count and active energy burned
- Workout records and physical effort
- Blood oxygen (SpO₂) and respiratory rate
- Daylight exposure
- State of mind logs
- Menstrual cycle data (menstrual flow)
- Symptom records (such as hot flashes and night sweats)
- Body weight (only if you use the HRT tab’s weight card and grant that separate permission)
What Regularish writes. Regularish writes to Apple Health in three narrow, user-driven cases:
- When you log your period in Regularish, Regularish saves it to Apple Health’s cycle tracking so your records stay in one place.
- If you turn on “Save symptoms to Apple Health” in Settings, Regularish writes your logged symptoms to Apple Health so they live alongside your other health records. This is off by default.
- If you enter a weigh-in on the HRT tab’s weight card, Regularish saves it to Apple Health as a body-weight sample. Regularish never writes your medications, doses, or body-map spots to Apple Health.
Regularish only ever writes data you entered yourself. HealthKit data is processed on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Location
If you allow it, Regularish checks your approximate location to fetch local weather through Apple’s WeatherKit, because heat and pressure changes matter for symptoms like hot flashes and headaches. Regularish asks for coarse accuracy — around three kilometres, never your precise position — and never stores what comes back. Location is optional, and everything else in the app works without it.
Finding a doctor (United States only)
On the United States App Store, the Care tab can look up OB/GYNs and gynecologists near you in the public NPI Registry, using the ZIP code you type. Only that ZIP and the provider type you chose are sent — never your name, your health data, or anything that identifies you — and neither is kept after the search. Outside the United States this search is not offered and no such request is made.
Reminders & notifications
Daily check-in reminders, hot-flash check-ins, and HRT medication reminders are all scheduled on your phone by iOS, from times and schedules you set — no server is involved and none of them leave your device. HRT reminders name only the form and the time (“Patch reminder — your 9:00 AM slot”), never a hormone, product, or body site; your own name for a medication appears on the lock screen only if you turn that on for that medication.
On-device intelligence
Regularish’s daily cards and insights are generated by Apple Intelligence™ directly on your iPhone®, using Apple’s on-device models. Your symptoms, cycle data, and health readings are never sent to a cloud AI service — by us or anyone else.
No account required
Regularish does not require you to create an account or provide an email address. We have no way to identify you.
Optional feedback
If you choose to send feedback from Settings, Regularish opens an email addressed to feedback@regularish.com. The email includes only the message you typed and your app version/build number. Feedback is optional and is not connected to your on-device health records unless you choose to include details in the message.
Analytics & crash reporting
Regularish contains no third-party analytics or advertising SDKs — none at all. For stability and performance, Regularish uses Apple’s on-device MetricKit framework, which produces diagnostic and performance reports (launch time, energy use, hangs, crashes) that stay in your device’s own logs. Separately, if you have turned on “Share With App Developers” in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymized, aggregated crash and usage reports with us through App Store Connect. That sharing is controlled entirely by Apple and by that iOS setting, we never receive anything that identifies you, and you can turn it off at any time.
What leaves your phone, and where it goes
Your health data stays on your device. We run no server that holds it, so there is nothing for us to disclose — to anyone, in any country. This is the complete list of what can leave your phone:
- Weather. If you allow local weather, your approximate location goes to Apple to answer that request. Apple is based in the United States. Nothing you logged goes with it, and we never receive it or store it.
- Email. If you write to us, your message, your email address, and anything you choose to put in them reach our email provider, which may be located outside the country you live in. This is the one case where something becomes information we hold, and it happens only because you chose to write to us.
- Finding a doctor, on the United States App Store only. The ZIP you type and the provider type you chose go to the public NPI Registry, as described above — never your name, and never your health data.
- Apple’s own crash and usage reports, but only if you turned on “Share With App Developers” in iOS Settings. Apple anonymizes and aggregates those before we see them, they contain nothing you logged, and that switch stays yours to turn off.
Nothing else is transmitted anywhere, and there is no Regularish server for it to be transmitted to.
How your daily card is made
Your Regularish Number, your daily card, and your insights are produced automatically on your device, from what you logged and the Apple Health data you chose to share. They decide what the app shows you, and nothing more: they make no decision about you that carries a legal or similarly significant effect, they are never used to assess you for anything, and nothing about them leaves your phone. A fixed set of rules — not the model — decides which facts are used, and checks every sentence before you read it.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect or transmit your health data to any server.
- We do not use advertising networks, and we never sell your data or share it with data brokers.
- We do not build advertising or marketing profiles of you. Everything that does leave your device is listed above, in full, and none of it is your health data.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Purchases
Everything Regularish offers for purchase — the optional support subscription, and Regularish Plus where it is available — is processed entirely through the App Store® (StoreKit). We never see your payment information, and what Apple reports back to us identifies no one. Apple’s privacy policy governs that transaction.
Children’s privacy
Regularish is designed for adults (18+) experiencing perimenopause. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Data export and deletion
Export and import: You can export a local JSON backup from Settings. The backup includes your Regularish profile/settings, reminder times, symptom entries, period entries, flow timers, saved Regularish Number values, and — if you use the HRT tab — your medications, dose logs (including body-map spots), and weight goal line. It does not include raw HealthKit samples, StoreKit purchase state, generated cards, recommendations, baselines, health insights, feedback records, or widget cache data. It also does not include the check-ins and treatments you recorded in the private pelvic and urinary space: those stay on this device, so a backup will not carry them to a new phone. If you import a backup, Regularish validates it first and then replaces local app data on this device after you confirm. Importing never writes anything to Apple Health.
Delete: You can delete all your data from Settings › Your data › Delete all data. Because data is stored only on your device, deletion is immediate and permanent — we have no copy to delete on our end. Data Regularish wrote to Apple Health at your request can be removed in the Health app.
Your consent
By tapping “Get started” during onboarding, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Privacy Policy. We record the date and version of the policy you agreed to on your device.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and Policy Version above, and notify you in-app. Continued use of Regularish after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Version 1.5 (August 29, 2026): Adds “What leaves your phone, and where it goes” — the complete list of everything that can leave your device (weather requests to Apple, email you choose to send us, the US-only doctor search, and Apple’s opt-in crash reports); names the private pelvic and urinary check-in as its own data category, kept on this device and excluded from backups; states that the weather request uses coarse accuracy (around three kilometres) and that the doctor search is offered only on the United States App Store; describes how your daily card is made on your device and that it decides nothing beyond what the app shows you; renames Subscriptions to Purchases to cover everything sold through the App Store; and adds a route for privacy questions, requests, and complaints, including our Data Protection Officer and the Australian, New Zealand, and Singapore regulators. The previous version is archived at /privacy/v1.4/.
Version 1.4 (August 16, 2026): Covers the new optional HRT tab — the medications, dose logs, body-map spots, and weigh-ins you enter stay on your device like everything else; adds body weight to the Apple Health read list and weigh-ins as the third user-driven write; describes local reminders and what they show on the lock screen; updates the backup contents and the delete path. Still on-device, still no account. The previous version is archived at /privacy/v1.3/.
Version 1.3 (July 4, 2026): Clarified that the doctor finder uses the ZIP you enter to look up providers in a public directory (only the ZIP and provider type — no health data, no identity); clarified our analytics posture (on-device MetricKit plus Apple’s opt-in, aggregated App Store Connect reports — still no third-party analytics SDKs).
Version 1.2 (June 28, 2026): Updated contact domains to regularish.com, clarified optional feedback email contents, and described local JSON backup/import.
Version 1.1 (June 12, 2026): Corrected the HealthKit section to disclose the two cases where Regularish writes to Apple Health (period logs; opt-in symptom saving), disclosed weather-based location use via Apple WeatherKit, listed all data types Regularish reads, and added the On-Device Intelligence section.
Questions, requests and complaints
Email privacy@regularish.com with any privacy question, complaint, or request — including a request to see or correct whatever we hold about you — and we will respond within 30 days. Our designated Data Protection Officer can be reached at the same address.
In practice, what we hold about you is limited to anything you have emailed us. Everything else lives on your device, where you can already see it, export it, and delete it yourself at any time, without asking us.
If our response does not resolve it, you can take it to your privacy regulator: in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au); in New Zealand, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz); in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Commission (pdpc.gov.sg).
